Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971, is a South African radio and television journalist and war reporter. She was a CBS News correspondent from 2002 until 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politically biased piece on 2012 Benghazi as "the worst mistake I have made in the past 10 years." She was a member of Sinclair Broadcast Group (a conservative media company) in the year 2019. In January 2020, she was a part of Fox Nation. Fox News offers a subscription-based streaming service. She claimed that she was "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban, during her studies (1988-1989) before working for the Daily News (1990-1992). She joined Reuters Television Africa in 1992 as a senior producer. After four years she decided to move into freelance journalism. She was appointed as an editor/reporter, reporter and editor/producer for Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY and CBS News, ABC News (in London), NBC and the European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN covering events like the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania, the conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war.
